The Messenger of Allah ﷺ prayed Zuhr at Dhul-Hulayfah. A sacrificial camel was brought to him, and he marked the right side of its hump, wiped the blood away from it, and hung two sandals around its neck. Then he called for his mount, and when it had risen with him onto the open plain of Bayda, he entered the state of ihram for Hajj.
حدثنا حجاج حدثنا شعبة عن قتادة قال سمعت أبا حسان الأعرج يحدث
صلى رسول الله ﷺ الظهر بذي الحليفة فأتي ببدنة فأشعر صفحة سنامها الأيمن ثم سلت الدم عنها وقلدها نعلين ثم دعا براحلته فركبها فلما استوت به على البيداء أهل بالحج
