Ibn Abbas said regarding the verse "And when the trumpet is sounded" [Muddaththir 74:8] that the Messenger of Allah ﷺ said, "How can I be at ease when the keeper of the horn has already placed the horn to his lips and bowed his forehead, listening for when he will be commanded, so that he may blow?"The companions of Muhammad asked, "What should we say?"He replied, "Say, 'Allah is sufficient for us, and the best of guardians. In Allah we place our trust.'"

Its chain of transmission is daif. Atiya is Ibn Saad bin Junada Awfi, and he is daif. Ibn Abu Hatim reported in Jarh wa Tadeel 3/1/382-383, from Abdullah bin Ahmad, who said, I heard my father mention Atiya Awfi, and he said, He is daif in hadith. It has reached me that Atiya used to go to Kalbi and take tafsir from him. Thawri and Hushaym both weakened the hadith of Atiya.Bukhari said in al-Saghir, page 126, quoting Ahmad regarding a hadith narrated by Atiya, These hadiths of the Kufans are munkar (unrecognized). Bukhari also said, pages 126 and 134, Hushaym used to speak critically of him.Ibn Hibban said in al-Duafa, It is not permissible to write down his hadith except by way of expressing astonishment. And it is astonishing indeed that the Imam (Ahmad) included many hadiths from him in al-Musnad, especially in the musnad of Abu Saeed Khudri.Mutarrif is Ibn Tarif. This hadith was mentioned by Ibn Kathir in his tafsir, 4309, quoting Ibn Abu Hatim, then he attributed it to al-Musnad and to the tafsir of Ibn Jareer. It is also found in Majma al-Zawaid, 7:131, where it is attributed to al-Musnad and to Tabarani, and he said, It contains Atiya, and he is daif.
