When the Messenger of Allah ﷺ had finished with Badr, it was said to him, "Go after the caravan, there is nothing standing between you and it."Abbas called out to him, "That is not right for you. Allah promised you one of the two parties, and He has already given you what He promised."
حدثنا يحيى بن آدم حدثنا إسرائيل عن سماك عن عكرمة
قيل لرسول الله ﷺ حين فرغ من بدر عليك العير ليس دونها شيء قال فناداه العباس إنه لا يصلح لك إن الله وعدك إحدى الطائفتين وقد أعطاك ما وعدك
