The Messenger of Allah ﷺ was cupped and paid the cupper his wages. Had it been unlawful, he would not have paid him. He used to be cupped on the two veins at the sides of the neck and between the shoulders. The one who cupped him was a slave belonging to Banu Bayadah, from whom a daily payment of one and a half mudd was being taken. The Prophet ﷺ interceded for him with his masters, and they reduced it to one mudd.
