Abdullah bin Umar reported,

Umar said, "Send for a physician to examine this wound of mine."So they sent for an Arab physician, who gave Umar nabidh to drink. The nabidh resembled blood when it came out of the wound below his navel. He said, "I then called another physician from the Ansar, from Banu Muawiya, who gave him milk to drink. The milk came out of the wound pure and white."The physician said to him, "Commander of the Believers, make your final testament."Umar said, "The man from Banu Muawiya has told me the truth. Had he said otherwise, I would have called him a liar."The people began to weep over him when they heard this, so he said, "Do not weep over us. Whoever wishes to weep, let him leave. Did you not hear what the Messenger of Allah ﷺ said? He said, 'The deceased is punished by his family's weeping over him.'"For this reason, Abdullah would not allow anyone to weep in his presence over a deceased person, whether from his own children or others.
