Fatimah bint Abu Hubaysh reported,

I came to Ayesha and said to her, "Umm Muiminin, I fear that I have no share in Islam and that I will be among the people of the Fire. From the day my prolonged bleeding began, I remain unable to pray to Allah for as long as Allah wills."She said, "Sit down until the Prophet ﷺ arrives."When the Prophet ﷺ came, she said, "Messenger of Allah, this is Fatimah bint Abu Hubaysh. She fears that she has no share in Islam and that she will be among the people of the Fire. From the day her prolonged bleeding began, she remains unable to pray to Allah for as long as Allah wills."He said, "Tell Fatimah bint Abu Hubaysh to refrain from prayer each month for the number of days of her usual menstrual period. Then she should perform a complete bath, place a pad, secure it firmly, and clean herself. After that, she should purify herself before every prayer and pray, for this is only a kick from Satan, or a vein that has burst, or an ailment that has befallen her."

حدثنا يحيى بن أبي بكير قال ثنا إسرائيل عن عثمان بن سعد عن عبد الله بن أبي مليكة قال حدثتني

خالتي فاطمة بنت أبي حبيش قالت

أتيت عائشة فقلت لها يا أم المؤمنين قد خشيت أن لا يكون لي حظ في الإسلام وأن أكون من أهل النار أمكث ما شاء الله من يوم أستحاض فلا أصلي لله عز وجل صلاة قالت اجلسي حتى يجيء النبي ﷺ فلما جاء النبي ﷺ قالت يا رسول الله هذه فاطمة بنت أبي حبيش تخشى أن لا يكون لها حظ في الإسلام وأن تكون من أهل النار تمكث ما شاء الله من يوم تستحاض فلا تصلي لله عز وجل صلاة فقال مري فاطمة بنت أبي حبيش فلتمسك كل شهر عدد أيام أقرائها ثم تغتسل وتحتشي وتستثفر وتنظف ثم تطهر عند كل صلاة وتصلي فإنما ذلك ركضة من الشيطان أو عرق انقطع أو داء عرض لها
