I came to the Messenger of Allah ﷺ to give him my pledge of allegiance. As I drew near, I was wearing two gold bracelets, and he caught sight of their gleam. He said, "Asma, throw off these two bracelets. Do you not fear that Allah will adorn you with bracelets of fire?"She said, "So I threw them off, and I do not know who picked them up."
حدثنا محمد بن عبيد حدثنا داود الأودي عن شهر
أتيت رسول الله ﷺ لأبايعه فدنوت وعلي سواران من ذهب فبصر ببصيصهما فقال ألقي السوارين يا أسماء أما تخافين أن يسورك الله بسوار من نار قالت فألقيتهما فما أدري من أخذهما
