Abu Darda reported,

The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said, "Whoever says 'There is no god but Allah, alone, with no partner,' will enter Paradise."Abu Darda asked, "Even if he commits adultery and even if he steals?"The Prophet replied, "Even if he commits adultery and even if he steals."Abu Darda asked again, "Even if he commits adultery and even if he steals?"He answered, "Even if he commits adultery and even if he steals."Abu Darda asked a third time, "Even if he commits adultery and even if he steals?"He said, "Even if he commits adultery and even if he steals, despite Abu Darda's displeasure."Abu Darda then said, "I went out to announce this to the people, but Umar met me and said, 'Go back, for if the people learn of this, they will rely on it alone.' So I returned and informed the Messenger of Allah ﷺ, and he ﷺ said, 'Umar has spoken the truth.'"

حدثنا حسن قال حدثنا ابن لهيعة عن واهب بن عبد الله أن

أبا الدرداء قال

قال رسول الله ﷺ من قال لا إله إلا الله وحده لا شريك له دخل الجنة قال قلت وإن زنى وإن سرق قال وإن زنى وإن سرق قلت وإن زنى وإن سرق قال وإن زنى وإن سرق قلت وإن زنى وإن سرق قال وإن زنى وإن سرق على رغم أنف أبي الدرداء قال فخرجت لأنادي بها في الناس قال فلقيني عمر فقال ارجع فإن الناس إن علموا بهذه اتكلوا عليها فرجعت فأخبرته ﷺ فقال ﷺ صدق عمر
