The Prophet ﷺ said, "Everything has a reality, and no servant attains the reality of faith until he knows that what has befallen him was not going to miss him, and what missed him was not going to befall him."Abu Abdul-Rahman said, Haytham bin Kharijah narrated to me from Abu Rabi all of these hadiths, except that he stopped short of attributing to the Prophet the hadith, "Were you to be forgiven for what you do to animals..." Yet Ubayy narrated it to us from him as a statement traced back to the Prophet.
حدثنا هيثم قال حدثنا أبو الربيع عن يونس عن أبي إدريس
عن النبي ﷺ قال لكل شيء حقيقة وما بلغ عبد حقيقة الإيمان حتى يعلم أن ما أصابه لم يكن ليخطئه وما أخطأه لم يكن ليصيبه قال أبو عبد الرحمن حدثني الهيثم بن خارجة عن أبي الربيع بهذه الأحاديث كلها إلا أنه أوقف منها حديث لو غفر لكم ما تأتون إلى البهائم وقد حدثناه أبي عنه مرفوعا
