She experienced prolonged irregular bleeding during the lifetime of the Messenger of Allah ﷺ, so she came to him and said, "Messenger of Allah, I am suffering from severe and abnormal bleeding."He told her, "Pack yourself with cotton."She replied, "It is heavier than that. It gushes out in torrents."He said, "Then bind yourself tightly with a cloth, and consider yourself menstruating for six or seven days each month, as Allah knows best, then perform a full bath and pray and fast for the remaining twenty-three or twenty-four days. Delay the Zuhr prayer and bring forward the Asr prayer, then bathe once for both. Delay the Maghrib prayer and bring forward the Isha prayer, then bathe once for both. This is the more preferred of the two options to me."
حدثنا يزيد بن هارون قال أخبرنا شريك بن عبد الله عن عبد الله بن محمد بن عقيل عن إبراهيم بن محمد بن طلحة عن عمه عمران بن طلحة
أنها استحيضت على عهد رسول الله ﷺ فأتت رسول الله ﷺ فقالت يا رسول الله إني استحضت حيضة منكرة شديدة فقال لها احتشي كرسفا قالت إني أشد من ذلك إني أثج ثجا قال تلجمي وتحيضي في كل شهر في علم الله ستة أيام أو سبعة ثم اغتسلي غسلا وصلي وصومي ثلاثا وعشرين أو أربعا وعشرين وأخري الظهر وقدمي العصر واغتسلي لهما غسلا وأخري المغرب وقدمي العشاء واغتسلي لهما غسلا وهذا أحب الأمرين إلي
