I was with Ayesha when the Prophet ﷺ entered and said, "Bring me water for ablution."Ayesha and I both rushed for the water jug, but I got to it first. He performed his ablution, then raised his eyes to me, or glanced at me, and said, "You are from me and I am from you."She said that a man was then brought to him, and he said, "I did not do this. I was only told to do so."She said that someone had asked him on the pulpit who the best of people are, and he replied, "The one with the deepest understanding of Allah's religion and the one who is most devoted to maintaining ties with his relatives."Sharik mentioned two other things in this report which I did not memorize.
