When the Messenger of Allah ﷺ took the pledge from the women, one of the conditions he stipulated was that they would not wail in mourning. A woman said, "Messenger of Allah, there is a woman who once helped me in mourning. Should I not now help her in return?"She withheld her hand, and the Messenger of Allah ﷺ withheld his hand, and he did not accept her pledge.

أن رسول الله ﷺ أخذ على النساء فيما أخذ أن لا ينحن فقالت امرأة يا رسول الله إن امرأة أسعدتني أفلا أسعدها فقبضت يدها وقبض رسول الله ﷺ يده فلم يبايعها
