The Messenger of Allah ﷺ came out to us while we were washing his daughter's body. He said, "Wash her three times, or five, or more than that if you see fit, and add camphor, or some camphor, to the final washing. When you are finished, let me know."So we informed him when we had finished, and he handed us his waist-wrapper and said, "Wrap her in this next to her body."Muhammad said, Hafsah narrated this to us and said, "We braided her hair into three braids."
حدثنا سفيان بن عيينة عن أيوب عن محمد
خرج علينا رسول الله ﷺ ونحن نغسل ابنته فقال اغسلنها ثلاثا أو خمسا أو أكثر من ذلك إن رأيتن ذلك واجعلن في الآخرة كافورا أو شيئا من كافور فإذا فرغتن فآذنني فآذناه فألقى إلينا حقوه فقال أشعرنها إياه قال محمد وحدثتناه حفصة قالت فجعلنا رأسها ثلاثة قرون
