Umm Kulthum bint Uqba reported that she heard the Messenger of Allah ﷺ say, "The one who reconciles between people and conveys something good or says something good is not considered a liar."She said, "I never heard him grant permission for any of what people call lying except in three matters: in war, in reconciling between people, in a man's speech to his wife, and a woman's speech to her husband."Umm Kulthum bint Uqba was among the women who emigrated and pledged allegiance to the Messenger of Allah ﷺ.
حدثنا يعقوب قال حدثنا أبي عن صالح بن كيسان قال حدثنا محمد بن مسلم بن عبيد الله بن شهاب أن حميد بن عبد الرحمن بن عوف أخبره أن
أخبرته أنها سمعت رسول الله ﷺ يقول ليس الكذاب الذي يصلح بين الناس فينمي خيرا أو يقول خيرا وقالت لم أسمعه يرخص في شيء مما يقول الناس إلا في ثلاث في الحرب والإصلاح بين الناس وحديث الرجل امرأته وحديث المرأة زوجها وكانت أم كلثوم بنت عقبة من المهاجرات اللاتي بايعن رسول الله ﷺ
