Its chain of transmission is sahih, Bukhari related it 5/299 no. 2692 in reconciliation, Muslim 4/2011 no. 2605 in righteousness, Abu Dawud 4/280 no. 4919 in manners, and Tirmidhi 4/331 no. 1938 in righteousness, and he said, hasan sahih, and Abd bin Humayd 461 no. 1592.
