I saw the Messenger of Allah ﷺ during the Farewell Pilgrimage wearing a cloak that he had wrapped around himself, passing it under his armpit. I was looking at the muscle of his upper arm quivering as he said, "People, fear Allah and obey. Even if a mutilated Abyssinian slave is placed in authority over you, listen and obey, so long as he upholds the Book of Allah among you."
حدثنا أبو نعيم قال حدثنا يونس عن العيزار بن حريث قال سمعت
رأيت رسول الله ﷺ في حجة الوداع عليه برد قد التفع به من تحت إبطه فأنا أنظر إلى عضلة عضده ترتج وهو يقول يا أيها الناس اتقوا الله وأطيعوا وإن أمر عليكم عبد حبشي مجدع فاسمعوا وأطيعوا ما أقام فيكم كتاب الله
