Kaab bin Malik reported,

The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said, "The believer is like a fresh stalk of grain. The winds bend it down at times and straighten it up at others, until his appointed time comes. The disbeliever is like the firm cedar tree, standing solidly on its roots, unmoved by anything, until it is uprooted all at once."

حدثنا يزيد وأبو النضر قالا أنا المسعودي عن سعد بن إبراهيم

عن ابن كعب بن مالك عن أبيه قال

قال رسول الله ﷺ مثل المؤمن كالخامة من الزرع تفيئها الرياح تصرعها مرة وتعدلها أخرى حتى يأتيه أجله ومثل الكافر مثل الأرزة المجذية على أصلها لا يقلها شيء حتى يكون انجعافها مرة
