Abu Shurayh reported,

The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said, "Beware of sitting on the roadways. If any of you must sit on the road, then give the road its due."We asked, "Messenger of Allah, what is its due?"He replied, "Lowering the gaze, returning the greeting, enjoining what is right, and forbidding what is wrong."

حدثنا صفوان قال أخبرنا عبد الله بن سعيد عن أبيه

عن أبي شريح بن عمرو الخزاعي قال

قال رسول الله ﷺ إياكم والجلوس على الصعدات فمن جلس منكم على الصعيد فليعطه حقه قال قلنا يا رسول الله وما حقه قال غضوض البصر ورد التحية وأمر بمعروف ونهي عن منكر
