The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said, "Whoever believes in Allah and the Last Day, let him honor his neighbor. Whoever believes in Allah and the Last Day, let him speak good or remain silent. Whoever believes in Allah and the Last Day, let him honor his guest. His special hospitality is for one day and one night, and hosting him is for three days. Whatever comes after that is charity. It is not lawful for the guest to stay with his host so long that he becomes a burden."
حدثنا يحيى بن سعيد قال حدثنا مالك قال حدثني سعيد بن أبي سعيد
قال رسول الله ﷺ من كان يؤمن بالله واليوم الآخر فليكرم جاره من كان يؤمن بالله واليوم الآخر فليقل خيرا أو ليصمت من كان يؤمن بالله واليوم الآخر فليكرم ضيفه جائزته يوم وليلة الضيافة ثلاثة أيام فما كان بعد ذلك فهو صدقة لا يحل له أن يثوي عنده حتى يخرجه
