Sulayman bin Amr reported,

She saw the Messenger of Allah ﷺ throwing pebbles at Jamrat al-Aqaba from the bottom of the valley, with a man behind him shielding him from the crowd lest the stones strike him. He was saying, "People, do not kill one another. When you throw, throw with pebbles the size of those used in flicking."Then he turned and came forward, and a woman approached him with a son of hers. She said, "Messenger of Allah, this son of mine has lost his mind, so pray to Allah for him."He said to her, "Bring me some water."She brought him water in a stone vessel. He spat into it, washed his face in it, then prayed over it, and said, "Go and wash him with this and seek healing from Allah ."I said to her, "Give me a little of it for this son of mine."So she gave me a small amount, and I took it on my fingers and wiped my son's side with it, and he became one of the most dutiful of people. Later I asked the woman what had become of her son, and she said, "He recovered most beautifully."

حدثنا حسين بن محمد قال حدثنا يزيد بن عطاء عن يزيد يعني ابن أبي زياد

عن سليمان بن عمرو بن الأحوص الأزدي قال حدثتني أمي

أنها رأت رسول الله ﷺ يرمي جمرة العقبة من بطن الوادي وخلفه إنسان يستره من الناس أن يصيبوه بالحجارة وهو يقول أيها الناس لا يقتل بعضكم بعضا وإذا رميتم فارموا بمثل حصى الخذف ثم أقبل فأتته امرأة بابن لها فقالت يا رسول الله إن ابني هذا ذاهب العقل فادع الله له قال لها ائتيني بماء فأتته بماء في تور من حجارة فتفل فيه وغسل وجهه ثم دعا فيه ثم قال اذهبي فاغسليه به واستشفي الله عز وجل فقلت لها هبي لي منه قليلا لابني هذا فأخذت منه قليلا بأصابعي فمسحت بها شقة ابني فكان من أبر الناس فسألت المرأة بعد ما فعل ابنها قالت برئ أحسن برء
