The Messenger of Allah ﷺ was asked about the best of deeds. He said, "Faith in Allah, striving in the path of Allah , and an accepted pilgrimage."
حدثنا هاشم بن القاسم قال حدثنا المسعودي عن عبد الملك بن عمير عن رجل من آل أبي حثمة
إن رسول الله ﷺ سئل عن أفضل الأعمال فقال إيمان بالله وجهاد في سبيل الله عز وجل وحج مبرور
Its chain of transmission is daif, because the narrator who reported from Shifa is unknown. However, the hadith is sahih, and it was narrated by Bukhari with similar wording, 1/77 no. 26, and Muslim, 1/72, both in the Book of Faith, and Tirmidhi, 4/185 no. 1658, in the Book of jihad, where he said it is hasan sahih, and Nasai, 5/113 no. 2624, in the Book of Hajj, and Darimi, 2/264 no. 2393, in the Book of jihad, and Abd bin Humayd, 460 no. 1591.
