The Messenger of Allah ﷺ asked me, "What have you been using as a remedy?"She replied, "Shubrum."He said, "It is hot and harsh."Then she said, "I tried senna as a remedy."He said, "If anything could cure death, it would be senna," or, "Senna is a cure for death."

Its chain of transmission is daif, due to the unknown status of the client of Umar Taymi. As for Zurah bin Abdul-Rahman, he is trustworthy among the successors, and his hadith is found in the Sunan works.The hadith itself is hasan. Tirmidhi related it (4/408, no. 2081), saying, "Hasan gharib." Ibn Majah also related it (2/1146, no. 3461), both in the chapter on medicine, as did Tabarani in Al-Kabir (2/132, no. 361).
