The Messenger of Allah ﷺ used to visit us often. On one occasion he came to us, so we set out the water vessel for him and he performed ablution. He washed his hands three times, rinsed his mouth and nose once each, washed his face three times, and washed his forearms three times. He wiped his head with what remained of the water in his hands twice, beginning with the back of his head and then bringing his hands forward to the front. He washed his feet three times and wiped both the front and back of his ears.
حدثنا وكيع عن سفيان عن عبد الله بن محمد بن عقيل قال حدثتني
كان رسول الله ﷺ يأتينا فيكثر فأتانا فوضعنا له الميضأة فتوضأ فغسل كفيه ثلاثا ومضمض واستنشق مرة مرة وغسل وجهه ثلاثا وذراعيه ثلاثا ومسح رأسه بما بقي من وضوئه في يديه مرتين بدأ بمؤخره ثم رد يده إلى ناصيته وغسل رجليه ثلاثا ومسح أذنيه مقدمهما ومؤخرهما
