He had sisters who had met the Prophet ﷺ. She said, "The Prophet ﷺ addressed us and said, 'Women, is there not enough silver for you to adorn yourselves with? Indeed, there is not a woman among you who adorns herself with gold and displays it but she will be punished for it.'"
حدثنا عبد الرزاق قال أخبرنا سفيان عن منصور عن ربعي عن امرأته
وكن له أخوات قد أدركن النبي ﷺ قالت خطبنا النبي ﷺ فقال يا معشر النساء أليس لكن في الفضة ما تحلين أما إنه ليست منكن امرأة تتحلى ذهبا تظهره إلا عذبت به
