I came to the Messenger of Allah ﷺ among a group of women to pledge allegiance to him. We said, "Messenger of Allah, we pledge allegiance to you that we will not associate anything with Allah, nor steal, nor commit adultery, nor bring forth slander that we fabricate between our hands and feet, nor disobey you in what is right."He said, "In what you are able and willing to do."She said, We replied, "Allah and His Messenger are more merciful to us than we are to ourselves. Come, let us pledge allegiance to you, Messenger of Allah."The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said, "I do not shake hands with women. My word to a hundred women is the same as my word to a single woman."
حدثنا إسحاق بن عيسى قال أخبرنا مالك عن محمد بن المنكدر
أتيت رسول الله ﷺ في نسوة نبايعه فقلنا يا رسول الله نبايعك على أن لا نشرك بالله شيئا ولا نسرق ولا نزني ولا نأتي ببهتان نفتريه بين أيدينا وأرجلنا ولا نعصيك في معروف قال قال فيما استطعتن وأطعتن قالت فقلنا الله ورسوله أرحم بنا منا بأنفسنا هلم نبايعك يا رسول الله قال رسول الله ﷺ إني لا أصافح النساء إنما قولي لمائة امرأة كقولي لامرأة واحدة
