I came with a son of mine on whose tonsils I had pressed up out of fear that he had a throat infection. The Prophet ﷺ said, "Why do you torment your children by pressing up their tonsils like this? You should use this Indian wood," meaning costus, "for it contains seven cures, among them a remedy for pleurisy."The Prophet ﷺ then took her little boy and placed him in his lap. The child urinated on him, so he called for water and sprinkled it over the spot. The boy had not yet reached the age of eating solid food.Zuhri said, "The sunnah has continued that the urine of a baby boy is sprinkled with water, while the urine of a baby girl is washed."Zuhri added, "It is administered through the nose for throat infection and poured into the side of the mouth for pleurisy."
حدثنا عبد الرزاق قال حدثنا معمر عن الزهري عن عبيد الله بن عبد الله بن عتبة
جئت بابن لي قد أعلقت عنه أخاف أن يكون به العذرة فقال النبي ﷺ علام تدغرن أولادكن بهذه العلائق عليكن بهذا العود الهندي قال يعني الكست فإن فيه سبعة أشفية منها ذات الجنب ثم أخذ النبي ﷺ صبيها فوضعه في حجره فبال عليه فدعا بماء فنضحه ولم يكن الصبي بلغ أن يأكل الطعام قال الزهري فمضت السنة بأن يرش بول الصبي ويغسل بول الجارية قال الزهري فيستسعط للعذرة ويلد لذات الجنب
