I asked the Messenger of Allah ﷺ about a garment stained with menstrual blood. He said, "Scrape it with a rib, and wash it with water, nadd, and lote-tree leaves."
حدثنا يحيى بن سعيد عن سفيان قال حدثني ثابت أبو المقدام قال حدثني عدي بن دينار قال سمعت
سألت رسول الله ﷺ عن الثوب يصيبه دم الحيض قال حكيه بضلع واغسليه بالماء والند وسدر
Its chain of transmission is sahih. Thabit Abu Miqdam is Ibn Hurmuz Kufi Haddad, and Adi bin Dinar is the freedman of Umm Qays, and both are trustworthy, their hadith appears in the Sunan works. The hadith was narrated by Abu Dawud 1/87 no. 393, Ibn Abu Shayba 1/95, Shafii 1/155, and Bayhaqi 2/207.
