On the day the sun was eclipsed, the Messenger of Allah ﷺ became alarmed and grabbed a coat until he eventually caught up with his cloak. He led the people in prayer, standing for a very long time. He would stand, then bow. If someone had come in after the Prophet ﷺ had bowed, he would not have realized that he had bowed, nor would it have crossed his mind that he had done so, because of how long the standing was.She said, "I began looking at the woman who was older than me and at the woman who was sicker than me, both still standing, and I thought I had more right to endure the long standing than they did."

فزع يوم كسفت الشمس رسول الله ﷺ فأخذ درعا حتى أدرك بردائه فقام بالناس قياما طويلا يقوم ثم يركع فلو جاء إنسان بعدما ركع النبي ﷺ لم يعلم أنه ركع ما حدث نفسه أنه ركع من طول القيام قالت فجعلت أنظر إلى المرأة التي هي أكبر مني وإلى المرأة التي هي أسقم مني قائمة وأنا أحق أن أصبر على طول القيام منها
