Abu Siddiq reported,

Hajjaj bin Yusuf came to Asma bint Abu Bakr after he had killed her son Abdullah bin Zubayr and said, "Your son committed a transgression in this House, and Allah made him taste a painful punishment and dealt with him as He did."She replied, "You have lied. He was dutiful to his parents, often fasting, often standing in prayer. By Allah, the Messenger of Allah ﷺ told us that two liars would come out of Thakeef, the latter of them being worse than the former, and he is a destroyer."

عن أبي الصديق الناجي

أن الحجاج بن يوسف دخل على أسماء بنت أبي بكر بعدما قتل ابنها عبد الله بن الزبير فقال إن ابنك ألحد في هذا البيت وإن الله عز وجل أذاقه من عذاب أليم وفعل به ما فعل فقالت كذبت كان برا بالوالدين صواما قواما والله لقد أخبرنا رسول الله ﷺ أنه سيخرج من ثقيف كذابان الآخر منهما شر من الأول وهو مبير
