When a woman with fever was brought to her so that she might pray for her, she would pour water between the woman and her collar and say, "The Messenger of Allah ﷺ commanded us to cool it with water, and he said that it is from the blast of Hell."
حدثنا ابن نمير عن هشام عن فاطمة
إنها كانت إذا أتيت بالمرأة لتدعو لها صبت الماء بينها وبين جيبها وقالت إن رسول الله ﷺ أمرنا أن نبردها بالماء وقال إنها من فيح جهنم
Its isnad is sahih, similar to it has preceded many times before. See 24110 and its cross-references. This wording was narrated by Muslim, 4/1732, no. 2211, in the Book of Greetings, and Bukhari, 4/146, in the Book of the Beginning of Creation, and Tirmidhi, 4/404, no. 2074, who graded it sahih.
