Asma bint Abu Bakr reported,

The sun was eclipsed during the time of the Messenger of Allah ﷺ. I entered upon Ayesha and asked, "What is the matter with the people, why are they praying?" She gestured with her head toward the sky.I asked, "Is it a sign?"She replied, "Yes."The Messenger of Allah ﷺ prolonged the standing for so long that I began to feel faint. I took a waterskin that was beside me and started pouring water over my head. When the Messenger of Allah ﷺ finished, the eclipse had cleared. He then addressed the people, praising Allah and extolling Him, and then said, "Now then, there is nothing I had not seen before that I have not now seen from this place of mine, even Paradise and Hell. It has been revealed to me that you will be tested in your graves, with a trial close to, or like, the trial of the Masih Dajjal," I am not sure which of these Asma said."One of you will be brought, and it will be said to him, 'What do you know about this man?' As for the believer, or the one with certainty," I am not sure which of these Asma said, "he will say, 'He is Muhammad, he is the Messenger of Allah. He came to us with clear proofs and guidance, so we responded and followed,' three times. It will be said to him, 'We already knew that you were a believer in him, so sleep in righteousness.' But as for the hypocrite, or the doubter," I am not sure which of these Asma said, "he will say, 'I do not know. I heard the people saying something, so I said it.'"

عن أسماء قالت

خسفت الشمس على عهد رسول الله ﷺ فدخلت على عائشة فقلت ما شأن الناس يصلون فأشارت برأسها إلى السماء فقلت آية قالت نعم فأطال رسول الله ﷺ القيام جدا حتى تجلاني الغشي فأخذت قربة إلى جنبي فأخذت أصب على رأسي الماء فانصرف رسول الله ﷺ وقد تجلت الشمس فخطب رسول الله ﷺ فحمد الله وأثنى عليه ثم قال أما بعد ما من شيء لم أكن رأيته إلا قد رأيته في مقامي هذا حتى الجنة والنار إنه قد أوحي إلي أنكم تفتنون في القبور قريبا أو مثل فتنة المسيح الدجال لا أدري أي ذلك قالت أسماء يؤتى أحدكم فيقال ما علمك بهذا الرجل فأما المؤمن أو الموقن لا أدري أي ذلك قالت أسماء فيقول هو محمد هو رسول الله جاءنا بالبينات والهدى فأجبنا واتبعنا ثلاث مرار فيقال له قد كنا نعلم أن كنت لتؤمن به فنم صالحا وأما المنافق أو المرتاب لا يدري أي ذلك قالت أسماء فيقول ما أدري سمعت الناس يقولون شيئا فقلت
