During the time of the Messenger of Allah ﷺ, we slaughtered a horse and ate from it.
حدثنا أبو معاوية قال حدثنا هشام بن عروة عن فاطمة بنت المنذر
نحرنا في عهد رسول الله ﷺ فرسا فأكلنا منه
Its isnad is sahih. Bukhari reported it 9/640 no. 5510, and Ibn Majah 2/1064 no. 3170, both in the Sacrifices chapter, and Muslim 3/1541 no. 1942 in the Hunting chapter, and Tirmidhi in the Foods chapter 4/253 no. 1793, and Nasai 7/227 no. 4406, and Darimi 2/87 no. 1992, both in the Sacrificial Animals chapter.
