I said to the Prophet ﷺ, "I have nothing except what Zubayr brings into my house."He said, "Spend, and do not hold back, lest it be held back from you."
حدثنا سفيان بن عيينة عن أيوب عن ابن أبي مليكة
قلت للنبي ﷺ ليس لي إلا ما أدخل الزبير بيتي قال أنفقي ولا توكي فيوكى عليك
Its isnad is sahih. Abu Dawud narrated it, 2/133 no. 1699, and similarly Bukhari, 3/301 no. 1434, Muslim, 2/713 no. 1029, and Nasai, 5/74 no. 2551, all of them in the chapter on zakat, and Tirmidhi, 4/342 no. 1960, in the chapter on righteousness, and he said, hasan sahih. See also 26962.
