I could hear the recitation of the Prophet ﷺ in the depth of the night while I was upon this trellis of mine, and he was at the Kaabah.
حدثنا عبد الصمد قال حدثنا ثابت بن يزيد أبو زيد حدثنا هلال يعني ابن خباب قال نزلت أنا ومجاهد على يحيى بن جعدة بن أم هانئ فحدثنا
أنا أسمع قراءة النبي ﷺ في جوف الليل وأنا على عريشي هذا وهو عند الكعبة
Its chain is sahih. Thabit bin Yazid Basri, Abu Zayd, is trustworthy, and his hadith is found in the collections of the group. Hilal bin Khabab is a trusted narrator, and his hadith is found in the Sunan works.The hadith was reported by Tirmidhi in Shamail, 253, no. 201, by Nasai, 2/179, no. 1013, and in Kubra, no. 955, and by Ibn Majah, 1/429, no. 1349, who said in Zawaid, its chain is sahih, and its narrators are trustworthy.
