Umar bin Khattab detected the scent of perfume at Dhul-Hulayfah and asked, "From whom is this fragrance coming?"Muawiya replied, "From me, Commander of the Believers."Umar said, "From you, by my life!"Muawiya explained, "Umm Habibah perfumed me, and she claimed that she had perfumed the Messenger of Allah ﷺ when he entered ihram."Umar said, "Go back and insist that she wash it off."So he returned to her, and she washed it off.

أن عمر بن الخطاب وجد ريح طيب بذي الحليفة فقال ممن هذه الريح فقال معاوية مني يا أمير المؤمنين فقال منك لعمري فقال طيبتني أم حبيبة وزعمت أنها طيبت رسول الله ﷺ عند إحرامه فقال اذهب فأقسم عليها لما غسلته فرجع إليها فغسلته
