I was a woman with a long hem, and I used to come to the mosque dragging it behind me. I asked Umm Salama about it, saying, "I am a woman whose hem is long. I come to the mosque and drag it across filthy ground and then across clean ground."Umm Salama replied, "The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said, 'When it passes over filthy ground and then passes over clean ground, the clean ground purifies it.'"
حدثنا صفوان بن عيسى قال أخبرنا محمد بن عمارة عن محمد بن إبراهيم التيمي قال حدثتني
كنت امرأة لي ذيل طويل وكنت آتي المسجد وكنت أسحبه فسألت أم سلمة قلت إني امرأة ذيلي طويل وإني آتي المسجد وإني أسحبه على المكان القذر ثم أسحبه على المكان الطيب فقالت أم سلمة قال رسول الله ﷺ إذا مرت على المكان القذر ثم مرت على المكان الطيب فإن ذلك طهور
