Shahr bin Hawshab reported,

I asked Umm Salama, "Mother of the Believers, what supplication did the Messenger of Allah ﷺ make most often when he was with you?"She replied, "His most frequent supplication was, 'Turner of hearts, keep my heart firm upon Your religion.'"She said, "So I asked him, 'Messenger of Allah, why do you so often say, Turner of hearts, keep my heart firm upon Your religion?'"He answered, "Umm Salama, there is no human being whose heart is not held between two of the fingers of Allah . Whomever He wills, He keeps steadfast, and whomever He wills, He turns away."Abdullah said, I asked my father about Abu Kaab, and he said, "He is trustworthy, and his name is Abd Rabbih bin Ubayd."

قلت لأم سلمة يا أم المؤمنين ما كان أكثر دعاء رسول الله ﷺ إذا كان عندك قالت كان أكثر دعائه يا مقلب القلوب ثبت قلبي على دينك قالت فقلت له يا رسول الله ما أكثر دعاءك يا مقلب القلوب ثبت قلبي على دينك قال يا أم سلمة ما من آدمي إلا وقلبه بين أصبعين من أصابع الله عز وجل ما شاء أقام وما شاء أزاغ قال عبد الله سألت أبي عن أبي كعب فقال ثقة واسمه عبد ربه بن عبيد
