Abdullah bin Rafi reported,

Umm Salama used to relate that she heard the Prophet ﷺ speaking from the pulpit while she was having her hair combed. She said to her hairdresser, "Tie up my hair."The hairdresser replied, "May I be your ransom, he is only saying, 'O people.'"Umm Salama said, "I responded, 'Woe to you, are we not among the people?'"So the hairdresser tied up her hair and Umm Salama stood in her chamber and heard him say, "O people, while I was at the Pool, you were brought to me in groups, then the paths scattered you. So I called out to you, 'Come back to the path!' Then a caller called out from behind me saying, 'They changed things after you.' So I said, 'Away with them, away with them.'"

كانت أم سلمة تحدث أنها سمعت النبي ﷺ يقول على المنبر وهي تمتشط أيها الناس فقالت لماشطتها لفي رأسي قالت فقالت فديتك إنما يقول أيها الناس قلت ويحك أولسنا من الناس فلفت رأسها وقامت في حجرتها فسمعته يقول أيها الناس بينما أنا على الحوض جيء بكم زمرا فتفرقت بكم الطرق فناديتكم ألا هلموا إلى الطريق فناداني مناد من بعدي فقال إنهم قد بدلوا بعدك فقلت ألا سحقا ألا سحقا
