The Messenger of Allah ﷺ came in to see me after the Asr prayer and prayed two rakahs.I asked, "Messenger of Allah, what prayer is this? You did not used to pray it."He replied, "The delegation of Banu Tamim arrived and kept me from the two rakahs I used to pray after Dhuhr."
حدثنا يعلى قال حدثنا محمد بن عمرو عن أبي سلمة
دخل علي رسول الله ﷺ بعد العصر فصلى ركعتين فقلت يا رسول الله ما هذه الصلاة ما كنت تصليها قال قدم وفد بني تميم فحبسوني عن ركعتين كنت أركعهما بعد الظهر
Its isnad is sahih, and it was mentioned previously from Ayesha. The hadith was narrated by Nasai 1/281 no. 579, and Ibn Khuzayma 2/261 no. 1277, both in the Book of Prayer, and by Abd bin Humayd, 442, no. 1531, and Humaydi 1/141 no. 295.
