I met Ibn Sayyad twice, and he mentioned the hadith, except that he said, "I entered upon Hafsah, Umm Muiminin, and informed her."She said, "What did you want from him? Did you not know that he said, 'His first appearance before the people will be due to a fit of anger that will provoke him'?"

لقيت ابن صائد مرتين فذكر الحديث إلا أنه قال فدخلت على حفصة أم المؤمنين فأخبرتها قالت ما أردت إليه أما علمت أنه قال إن أول خروجه على الناس غضبة يغضبها
