I performed the Hajj with Adi bin Adi al-Kindi, and he sent me to Safiya bint Shayba, daughter of Uthman the custodian of the Kaabah, to ask her about certain matters she had heard from Ayesha, the wife of the Prophet ﷺ, reported from the Messenger of Allah ﷺ.Among the things she related to me was that she heard Ayesha say, "I heard the Messenger of Allah ﷺ say, 'There is no divorce and no emancipation under coercion.'"

حججت مع عدي بن عدي الكندي فبعثني إلى صفية بنت شيبة ابنة عثمان صاحب الكعبة أسألها عن أشياء سمعتها من عائشة زوج النبي ﷺ عن رسول الله ﷺ فكان فيما حدثتني أنها سمعت عائشة تقول سمعت رسول الله ﷺ يقول لا طلاق ولا عتاق في إغلاق
