She informed him that the Messenger of Allah ﷺ one night delayed the Isha prayer, which is the one people call the Atamah prayer. She said that the Messenger of Allah ﷺ did not come out until Umar called, "The prayer! The women and children have fallen asleep."So the Messenger of Allah ﷺ came out, and when he came out to the people in the mosque, he said, "No one on earth is waiting for this prayer except you."This was before Islam had spread among the people.
حدثنا يعقوب قال حدثنا ابن أخي ابن شهاب عن عمه قال أخبرني عروة بن الزبير أن
أخبرته أن رسول الله ﷺ أعتم ليلة من الليالي بصلاة العشاء وهي التي يقول الناس لها صلاة العتمة قالت فلم يخرج رسول الله ﷺ حتى قال عمر الصلاة قد نام النساء والصبيان فخرج رسول الله ﷺ فقال لأهل المسجد حين خرج عليهم ما ينتظرها أحد من أهل الأرض غيركم وذلك قبل أن يفشو الإسلام في الناس
