There was a young girl from the Ansar under my care, and I arranged her marriage. On the day of her wedding, the Messenger of Allah ﷺ came in and did not hear any singing or merriment, so he said, "Ayesha, this clan of the Ansar are fond of such and such."

Its isnad is sahih. Ishaq bin Sahl bin Abu Hathma was deemed reliable by Ibn Hibban, while the rest remained silent about him, and his father was a companion, as mentioned previously. The hadith was narrated by Bukhari, 9/225, no. 5162, Fath, and Bayhaqi, 7/289, both in the chapter on marriage.
