Abu Abdullah Jusri reported,

I entered upon Ayesha while Hafsah bint Umar was with her. Ayesha said to me, "This is Hafsah, the wife of the Prophet ﷺ."Then she turned to Hafsah and said, "I adjure you by Allah to confirm a lie I utter or to deny a truth I speak. Do you remember that you and I were once with the Messenger of Allah ﷺ when he fell unconscious?I said to you, 'Do you think he has died?'You said, 'I do not know.'Then he came to and said, 'Open the door for him.'Then he fell unconscious again, and I said to you, 'Do you think he has died?'You said, 'I do not know.'Then he came to and said, 'Open the door for him.'I said to you, 'Is it my father or your father?'You said, 'I do not know.'So we opened the door, and there stood Uthman bin Affan. When the Prophet ﷺ saw him, he said, 'Come close.'Uthman leaned over him, and the Prophet ﷺ whispered something to him that neither you nor I could make out. Then the Prophet ﷺ raised his head and asked, 'Did you understand what I told you?'Uthman said, 'Yes.'The Prophet ﷺ said, 'Come close,' and Uthman leaned over him again as before. The Prophet ﷺ whispered something to him that we could not make out. Then he raised his head and asked, 'Did you understand what I told you?'Uthman said, 'Yes.'The Prophet ﷺ said, 'Come close,' and Uthman leaned in very closely. The Prophet ﷺ whispered something to him, then raised his head and asked, 'Did you understand what I told you?'Uthman said, 'Yes. My ears heard it and my heart retained it.'The Prophet ﷺ then said to him, 'Go.'"The narrator said, Hafsah replied, "By Allah, yes," or she said, "By Allah, she has spoken the truth."

حدثنا علي بن عاصم عن سعيد بن إياس الجريري

عن أبي عبد الله الجسري قال

دخلت على عائشة وعندها حفصة بنت عمر فقالت لي إن هذه حفصة زوج النبي ﷺ ثم أقبلت عليها فقالت أنشدك الله أن تصدقيني بكذب قلته أو تكذبيني بصدق قلته تعلمين أني كنت أنا وأنت عند رسول الله ﷺ فأغمي عليه فقلت لك أترينه قد قبض قلت لا أدري فأفاق فقال افتحوا له الباب ثم أغمي عليه فقلت لك أترينه قد قبض قلت لا أدري ثم أفاق فقال افتحوا له الباب فقلت لك أبي أو أبوك قلت لا أدري ففتحنا الباب فإذا عثمان بن عفان فلما أن رآه النبي ﷺ قال ادنه فأكب عليه فساره بشيء لا أدري أنا وأنت ما هو ثم رفع رأسه فقال أفهمت ما قلت لك قال نعم قال ادنه فأكب عليه أخرى مثلها فساره بشيء لا ندري ما هو ثم رفع رأسه فقال أفهمت ما قلت لك قال نعم قال ادنه فأكب عليه إكبابا شديدا فساره بشيء ثم رفع رأسه فقال أفهمت ما قلت لك قال نعم سمعته أذني ووعاه قلبي فقال له اخرج قال قالت حفصة اللهم نعم أو قالت اللهم صدق
