I heard the Messenger of Allah ﷺ say, "The one who gives charity and then takes it back is like someone who vomits and then eats his vomit."
حدثنا أحمد بن عبد الملك حدثنا موسى بن أعين حدثنا عمرو بن الحارث عن بكير بن عبد الله عن سعيد بن المسيب قال سمعت
سمعت رسول الله ﷺ يقول إنما مثل الذي يتصدق ثم يعود في صدقته كالذي يقيء ثم يأكل قيئه
Its chain of transmission is sahih. Musa bin Ayun the Jazari, the Harrani, was reliable. Abu Zura, Abu Hatim, and Ibn Main all affirmed his reliability, and would speak highly of him. Uzai said, "I know a man among the Abdal." He was asked, "Who is he?" He said, "Musa bin Ayun." Bukhari gave his biography in Al-Kabir 1/4/280-281.Amr bin Harith bin Yaqub the Egyptian was a leading scholar, a hafiz, and reliable. Abu Hatim said, "He was the most retentive of people in his time." Qatada, Malik, and Layth narrated from him. Dhahabi said, "He was the scholar of the Egyptian lands, its hadith authority, and its mufti, alongside Layth." Ibn Abu Hatim gave his biography in 13/225.This hadith is a repetition of 2529.
