Ubayy. Rather, it is Abdullah bin Abu Qays, and that is correct. He was a freed slave of the tribe of Banu Nasr bin Muawiya. He said, Ayesha said to me, "Do not abandon the night prayer, for the Messenger of Allah ﷺ never abandoned it. Whenever he was ill or weary, he would pray sitting."
حدثنا سليمان بن داود قال أخبرنا شعبة عن يزيد بن خمير قال سمعت
أبي وإنما هو عبد الله بن أبي قيس وهو الصواب مولى لبني نصر بن معاوية قال قالت لي عائشة لا تدع قيام الليل فإن رسول الله ﷺ كان لا يدعه وكان إذا مرض أو كسل صلى قاعدا
Its chain of transmission is sahih, based on Imam Ahmad's grading it sahih. The hadith was narrated by Abu Dawud 1/301, no. 1307, and Bukhari in Adab al-Mufrad, no. 800, and Ibn Khuzayma, no. 1137. Hakim graded it sahih 1/308, and Dhahabi agreed with him.
