He was relating that the Prophet of Allah ﷺ used to say, "Bad omens are only in three things, the woman, the riding animal, and the house."Ayesha was outraged at this, as if part of her flew up to the sky and part of her sank into the earth, and she said, "By the One who revealed the Quran to Abu Qasim, that is not what he said. Rather, the Prophet of Allah ﷺ said, 'The people of the days of ignorance used to say that bad omens lie in the woman, the house, and the riding animal.'"Then Ayesha recited, "No disaster strikes upon the earth or among yourselves except that it is in a register" [Hadid 57:22] to the end of the verse.
حدثنا روح حدثنا سعيد عن قتادة عن أبي حسان الأعرج أن رجلين دخلا على عائشة فقالا إن
يحدث أن نبي الله ﷺ كان يقول إنما الطيرة في المرأة والدابة والدار قال فطارت شقة منها في السماء وشقة في الأرض فقالت والذي أنزل القرآن على أبي القاسم ما هكذا كان يقول ولكن نبي الله ﷺ كان يقول كان أهل الجاهلية يقولون الطيرة في المرأة والدار والدابة ثم قرأت عائشة {ما أصاب من مصيبة في الأرض ولا في أنفسكم إلا في كتاب} إلى آخر الآية
