A man said to the Messenger of Allah ﷺ while he was standing at the door, "Messenger of Allah, I find myself in a state of major ritual impurity at dawn, yet I want to fast."The Messenger of Allah ﷺ replied, "I too find myself in a state of major ritual impurity at dawn while I intend to fast. I then bathe and continue my fast."The man said, "You are not like us. Allah has forgiven your past and future sins."The Messenger of Allah ﷺ became angry and said, "By Allah, I hope to be the most fearful of Allah among you and the most knowledgeable of what I should guard against."
حدثنا روح قال حدثني مالك عن عبيد الله بن عبد الرحمن بن معمر الأنصاري عن أبي يونس مولى عائشة
أن رجلا قال لرسول الله ﷺ وهو واقف على الباب يا رسول الله إني أصبح جنبا وأنا أريد الصيام فقال رسول الله ﷺ وأنا أصبح جنبا وأنا أريد الصيام ثم أغتسل فأصوم قال الرجل إنك لست مثلنا إنك قد غفر لك ما تقدم من ذنبك وما تأخر فغضب رسول الله ﷺ وقال والله إني لأرجو أن أكون أخشاكم لله وأعلم بما أتقي
