Marwan bin Hakam sent him to Umm Salama and Ayesha. He said, "I went to Umm Salama's servant Nafi and sent him in to her. He came back and told me that Umm Salama said, 'The Messenger of Allah ﷺ would enter the morning in a state of major ritual impurity, not from a wet dream, and then he would fast that day.'"Then he met Ayesha's servant Zakwan, Abu Amr, and sent him in to her to ask her about that. She informed him that the Prophet of Allah ﷺ would enter the morning in a state of major ritual impurity, not from a wet dream, and then he would fast that day.

أن مروان بن الحكم بعثه إلى أم سلمة وعائشة فقال أتيت غلام أم سلمة نافعا فأرسلته إليها فرجع إلي فأخبرني أن أم سلمة قالت كان رسول الله ﷺ يصبح جنبا من غير احتلام ثم يصبح صائما قال ثم لقي غلام عائشة ذكوان أبا عمرو فبعثه إليها فسألها عن ذلك فأخبرته أن نبي الله ﷺ كان يصبح جنبا من غير احتلام ثم يصبح صائما
