Ayesha said, "Had the Messenger of Allah ﷺ been one to conceal anything of what Allah revealed to him, he would have concealed these verses about himself, 'And when you said to the one whom Allah had favored and whom you had favored, Keep your wife to yourself and fear Allah, and you concealed within yourself what Allah was to disclose, and you feared the people while Allah has more right that you fear Him,' up to His saying, 'And ever is the command of Allah accomplished'" [Ahzab 33:37].
حدثنا ابن أبي عدي عن داود
قالت عائشة لو كان رسول الله ﷺ كاتما شيئا مما أنزل الله عليه لكتم هذه الآيات على نفسه {وإذ تقول للذي أنعم الله عليه وأنعمت عليه أمسك عليك زوجك واتق الله وتخفي في نفسك ما الله مبديه وتخشى الناس والله أحق أن تخشاه} إلى قوله {وكان أمر الله مفعولا}
